MUSIC |
Below is an archive of some ancient music. It's not updated. This page itself is old, I think dating to 2018. |
2017 |
3% | Power Saver OST |
The OST for my 3rd Ludum Dare entry, and I use OST very loosely. |
Tutorial Zone |
Music that plays during the tutorial. |
Mall Ambience |
The full sample from a mallsoft track I did with MajorXses, so not exactly an original track. It has some actual dying indoor mall ambience I recorded though... so that's legit. |
Secret Ending |
An audio clip that plays in a secret area of the game. |
midNIGHT |
A vaporwave track made for reddit.com/r/hyperbattle's HYPERTRIAL III |
Turns To Gold |
A vaporwave track. |
A Week's Passing: Title |
The title screen ambience that plays in A Week's Passing |
A cassette loop attempt |
One of my attempts at making a cassette loop |
UL (The Sample) |
A short thing I made using a sample I found in an Action Half-Life map. |
Garbage Cassette Loop |
The result of trying to record it onto a loop of tape. |
The Night Before |
Another Echojam / Vaporwave tape loop. I created this one the night before the third Hackathon to help cool my nerves. |
2016 |
The Safeguard of Goldfinch Rock (Unreleased Music) |
Last minute for Goldfinch Rock I made a really basic dynamic soundtrack. We took it out though because it was kinda weird ingame and WAY to repetitive. |
Chillin On A Saturday Night |
An Echojam / Vaporwave tape loop I made one night just to chill out and relax. I later tried to put it on an actual tape loop but I rubbed off the tape. Oops. |
Lucky Boxers |
My first real Vaporwave track. I made it after my bud Alex revealed the secret behind his ability to bullshit ridiculously long papers. It's kinda mixed awfully but I'll always cherish it (or something like that). |
Here Comes a Thought (Unfinished Retro Remix) |
A remix of Steven Universe's Here Comes a Thought. I wanted to go all out on this and use as much cool shit as possible to make it. This version only has my Gameboy, a floppydrive, some N64 samples and some SNES samples in it. I was going to use a Ti-84 calculator, an Atari 2600, and a PC buzzer for it but I never ended up finishing it. |
Outlandish Artifacts OST (Unfinished Game) |
One of the reasons I bought an HTC Vive at launch was to develop for it. For about half a year I worked on a game title Outlandish Artifacts to explain the multiverse. It never really came into being, and I ended up putting it waaaay on the backburner... The game itself hopped across a few different concepts along the way, so there's a bit of variety soundwise. |
Below The Mage's Tower |
This was part of a specific battle sequence test. You fight against a wave of flying books with this playing in the background. |
Inside The Mage's Tower |
This was supposed to play at the bottom of a large looming tower. |
DevTest1 |
A test song that would play when entering the dev zone. |
Music Box 1 |
One of 4 music boxes. |
Music Box 2 |
One of 4 music boxes. |
Music Box 3 |
One of 4 music boxes. |
Literally Space |
Would play when you exited this one elevator and you were in space. |
Creepy Record |
A creepy record that I used to test audio early on. |
Dude Bro Dude |
A song I wrote with my friend Alex. It is RIDICULOUSLY cheesy looking back on that. If you're a fan of FL Slayer, FL Keys with no velocity, and drum loops, this is the track for YOU. |
Jimmy Flash's Theme |
A chiptune track I made for a final video project. This also got stuck in mastering hell (it's pretty overmastered lol) and this is the first time I'm releasing the full version. I think the transition is cool. |
Crate-Runner OST |
Looking back on it, this was probably the first game I ever really released. I created it as a final project for my A.P. Computer Science project over the course of a week. It follows the story of one proto-dudebro working at Blamazoon. And by follows the story of one proto-dudebro working at Blamazoon, I mean that there's a dude walking on a conveyor belt jumping over crates. Gotta have that player manual lore, right? |
Crate-Running Medly |
Fun Fact: I was never actually satisfied with the mixing of this. It stayed rotting on one of my hard-drives until I eventually just said screw it and released it. |
Unused Pause Menu |
Seperate music that was supposed to play when you paused the game. I figured that it differed way too much from the main chiptune theme to actually use it, so I cut it out. I still like it though. |
Crate-Runner Swing |
There's a super rare chance that you'll come across a phonograph ingame. It plays this track, synching up with the current music. |
Gravity Falls Opening (Infinite Hiatus Chiptune Remix) |
A remix of the Gravity Falls theme. Not much else to say here. |
Meta-Dimensional |
After making the last 2 tracks of Learning Chiptune and making T&T's theme, I realized that I really enjoyed darker / glitchier chiptune. This track was my attempt at channeling that (There were multiple times throughout the creation of the track where I was trying as hard as possible to get the gameboy to scream... Now That's What I Call Edgy™!) |
Project Flywheel OST |
Project Flywheel was a "VR" game a few friends and I made for the 2nd 207.Hack hackathon. This was just before the Vive had launched, so we wanted to see how far we could push mobile VR. We made a Unity game which was then streamed to my friend Greg's phone via a USB cable. It kind of worked! ...Sort of... |
Title |
Some ambience that plays during the title area. |
Dark |
The piano bit that plays when you beat the game and fly off into the sky. |
Something Darker (Ambience) |
The spooky audio track that plays on loop in the background throughout the game. It certainly established some kind of mood, although I'm not sure what. It's just a paulstretched and reversed version of the track above. |
Toasty & Tippy's Theme (Chiptune Mix) |
Toasty & Tippy was a hackathon game that I worked on with a few friends. It was way out of scope and the final result was incredibly buggy, but it made quite a few memories and was a vital part to my start in game dev. This is a chiptune mix of the title theme. |
Sven Co-Op 5 Theme (Chiptune Remix) |
During my excitement for Sveen Co-op's Steam release, I created a remix of the new title music based off of the trailer at the time. |
2015 |
Learning Chiptune |
My first real album (I think)? It's pretty much a compilation of chiptune tracks I made using LSDJ. Technically I released this in the January of 2016, but all of the tracks were made over the course of 2015, with the last one being pretty much on New Years day. They're ordered chronologically, so the first track is the very first track I made (Apart from Ultimate Showdown, see below), and the 7th track is the last one (at the time of the albums release). |
HARD |
lol mee too thanks |
QOMB |
Starting to question how / why I named these. EDIT: Wait what? This song actually kind of bangs a little bit. |
TIME |
This ones interesting, I actually had a soundfont orchestration version of this but decided it sounded better after porting it to LSDJ. It also is supposed to have lyrics but I'm too much of a coward to actually release them. |
MYST |
Not sure why I included this remix on the album but it's lit so I'll give it a pass. |
SLIDE |
I think I originally named this SLYDE but figured that was too dumb. |
SKRATCH |
Speaking of too dumb, no idea how SLYDE was caught but SKRATCH wasn't. |
LIQUID |
Aaaaaand this is the best track I think (it's this or TIME), although LSDJ wise I should have boosted the volume a bit. |
December |
An unreleased track I made for Christmas in 2015. Pretty simple but I still enjoy it. |
Peace and Love (Chiptune Remix) |
Another track I made soon after getting the reigns of LSDJ. This became semi popular on YouTube, although I'm not sure if it really deserves the praise. |
The Time Goes By |
An unreleased track that I really liked. I later made a chiptune version of this that I released along with Learning Chiptune. |
The Ultimate Showdown Of Ultimate Destiny (Chiptune Remix) |
Literally one of the first tracks I made when learning how to use LSDJ. Fairly basic, but I thought it was good at the time (and I suppose I still kind of do). |
The Art Of Thaumaturgy |
An track I made after becoming a little bit too obsessed with the Minecraft mod, Thaumcraft. Uses different Thaumcraft sounds throughout the track. |
2014 |
Ignorance Is Bliss (FL Studio Remix?) |
A super old remix of Ignorance is Bliss. Kinda feels older than 2014 but that's what the file says... It uses a lot of my old techniques and was mixed terribly (I adjusted it slightly for this so it doesn't break your ears). |
Unfinished & Scrapped 1st Hackathon Project |
A few tracks I worked on for our first Hackathon project before we realized it was super-quasi-omega outta scope. It was supposed to be a story-based rhythm platformer I think? We scrapped the concept and decided to work on Toasty & Tippy instead, which I think there's music of above somewhere. |
Title Theme |
An unfinished title theme. Bass cuts out halfway through the song ^^;;. I use the motif in this constantly. |
Level 1 |
Supposed Level 1's music. You were supposed to be getting ready for the day along with this. |
Overworld |
Music that was going to play in the overworld I think? This got used in our build of Toasty & Tippy as well. |
The Moon |
This was supposed to play at the end of the game when you are about to get abandoned on the moon. |
2013 |
Song To Be Named |
A super old default-fruityloops-kick track. Not much else to say. |
